Aamir Khan tricks Ranbir Kapoor into calling himself ‘Ranbir Singh’ in hilarious ad

adminBy adminMarch 19, 20253 Mins Read

In a recent advertisement for the fantasy sports platform Dream11, Bollywood heavyweights Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor engage in a humorous exchange that has captivated audiences nationwide. The commercial, which also features cricket stars Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Jasprit Bumrah, masterfully blends the worlds of cinema and cricket to deliver a memorable viewing experience.

The narrative kicks off with Rishabh Pant approaching Aamir Khan, expressing his desire for a photograph with Ranbir Kapoor. Aamir, in his signature playful style, responds, “Arey photo kya, pappi hi de dega. Apna hi bacchha hai, aaja,” implying that Ranbir is like family and would readily agree. However, the situation takes a comedic turn when Aamir introduces Ranbir as “Ranbir Singh,” mistakenly conflating his name with that of another Bollywood star, Ranveer Singh. This slip prompts Rohit Sharma to interject, correcting Aamir by saying, “Singh nahin sir… Kapoor, Kapoor.” Aamir, attempting to downplay the error, remarks, “Ek hi baat hai yaar… dono handsome munde hain. Shabaash,” suggesting that both actors are equally charming.

1Visibly annoyed by the mix-up, Ranbir later vents to Hardik Pandya and Ravichandran Ashwin about the incident. He quips about Aamir’s age, stating, “60 ke ho gaye hai, satiya gaye hain. Retire hone bolo unko,” implying that Aamir’s advancing years might be affecting his sharpness and suggesting he consider retirement. Aamir, unfazed, retorts by criticizing the younger generation’s inflated egos, commenting, “Today’s youngsters, their ego is bigger than their box office collection.” The banter escalates as both actors, in a bid to settle their playful dispute, decide to form their own cricket teams, leading to a lighthearted showdown on the field.

The advertisement has garnered widespread acclaim for its clever script and the seamless chemistry between the actors and cricketers. Fans have particularly enjoyed the meta-humor and the playful jabs exchanged between Aamir and Ranbir, with many expressing hopes of seeing the duo collaborate on a full-length feature film in the future. The ad not only serves as a promotional piece for Dream11 but also as a testament to the enduring appeal of Bollywood and cricket collaborations in Indian pop culture.

On the professional front, both actors have an exciting lineup of projects. Aamir Khan is set to star in ‘Sitaare Zameen Par,’ while Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for roles in ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ and ‘Love & War,’ ensuring that audiences have much to look forward to in the coming months.
