Rajinikanth’s Coolie continues to dominate headlines, not just for its massive advance bookings and frenzied fan craze, but now for an unexpected international nod. The film’s recently released track Monica, featuring Pooja Hegde in a glamorous avatar, has caught the attention of none other than Italian actress Monica Bellucci — and she’s given it her seal of approval.

Bellucci, known for her iconic roles in Malèna and Spectre, shared a clip of the song on her Instagram story, adding a heart emoji and the caption, “Beautiful energy and performance!” The mention immediately set social media abuzz, with fans flooding comment sections, calling it “the ultimate crossover moment” and praising the song’s vibrant beats.
Reacting to Bellucci’s appreciation, Pooja Hegde expressed her delight in an interview, saying, “It’s surreal! Monica Bellucci is a legend, and to know she enjoyed the song makes it even more special. Monica was all about celebrating dance, music, and confidence — and now it feels like that joy has truly gone global.”
Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the high-energy number blends retro-inspired rhythms with contemporary choreography, making it one of the most talked-about tracks of the year. With Rajinikanth’s star power, Pooja’s dazzling presence, and now an endorsement from a Hollywood icon, Coolie’s hype just found a new peak.
If the pre-release buzz is any indication, Coolie is on track to not just break box office records, but also bridge cultures in ways no one quite expected.
